Integrated Manufacturing

Immediately after you finish Gateway’s two-semester Integrated Manufacturing certificate, you’ll be ready to start an exciting career in Industry 4.0. You can combine information technology (IT) and manufacturing coursework to prepare for in-demand employment opportunities throughout our region. You'll learn networking, security and customer support, as well as basic electrical technology, programmable logic controls (PLCs), peripheral devices and robotics.

  • Prepare for a range of practical IT tasks you’ll need day-to-day on the job: building networks, working with help desk and ticketing systems, and learning about network security incidents. 
  • Work hands-on with next-generation technology like industrial control electrical circuits, three-phase motors, variable frequency drives, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human and machine interfaces (HMIs) and industrial robots.
  • NSF logoPrepare for career roles like Automation Technician, Maintenance Technician, Networking Technician or Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
  • In less than a year, this program, supported by the National Science Foundation, will prepare you for immediate employment opportunities at area employers like InSinkerator, SC Johnson and BRP.
